You’ll learn about Pei’s early work in New York City, where he did a variety of projects that shaped his creative approach to design. His original designs, like the National Center for Atmospheric Research and the famous Louvre Pyramid in Paris, are some of his best known works. He won the famous Pritzker Architecture Prize for his work on the Bank of China Tower in Hong Kong, which shows how good he is at building skyscrapers. Pei’s work as a creative engineer continues to influence builders and make towns better all over the world.
